Bandage heaters are designed for pre-start and constant heating of the fuel filter at temperatures down to -40 °C.
5-10 minute of warm-up before the engine start ensures dissolution of oil paraffin and guarantees the filterability of diesel fuel. This eliminates the main obstacle in the path of the fuel and creates necessary conditions for stable engine operation.
Bandage heaters are suitable ONLY for filters with a metal body.
You can evaluate the efficiency of bandage heater by watching this video.
Initial filter temperature is -22 °C. Demonstration speed increased by 10 times. In the upper right corner, you can see the actual warm-up time.
Bandage heater is mounted on the filter and fixed with hose clamps as shown on the picture. To increase the efficiency of heating, we recommend lubricating the inner surface of the heater with heat-resistant grease, which fills all air gaps between the surfaces of the heater, and filter. Connection to the vehicle’s on-board network is made according to one of the schemes shown in the installation manual (depends on heater’s control – manual or automatic).
To select the right heater model you need to measure the diameter of the filter and the height of its cylindrical part. Our model range allows you to choose a heater for any fuel filter as long as it is round and has a metal body.
Two options are available:
1) Manually controlled bandage heater is turned on and off both in pre-start and cruise mode by a switch in the cabin.
2) Automatically controlled bandage heater is equipped with a timer that will automatically turn off the heating after 10
minutes of work in pre-start mode. The heater can also be turned on during cruising without any time limit.
All bandage heaters have overheating protection and optimized power consumption.
Average service life - 5 years or 3000 hours of operation.
Dust and water protection class – IP55
